What is TruVy?

Truvy is the latest trendy weight loss product, particularly on social media and Google. But what’s in it? Is this a legitimate product? Or is this a pyramid scheme? I did some research and decided to see what the hype was about this supplement. According to the website, it’s a blend of natural plant derivatives that help the body lose body fat and improve your overall health. You should take one orange or purple capsule daily. The pills claim to increase metabolism and help you lose weight quickly by converting blood sugar into energy, allowing you the freedom to eat what you like. These “natural plant” ingredients are not supported by any evidence.

TruVy’s Ingredients

The website lists Alpha Lipoic Acid and Green Coffee Bean Extract as the main ingredients of Truvy products. The high caffeine content provides short-term energy. This should keep you awake and energized all day, as well as reducing food cravings. Research suggests that Coffee Bean Extract may aid in weight loss, while Green Tea Extract is beneficial for many metabolic disorders and health conditions. Alpha lipoic acids was not mentioned in my research. Further research revealed that Truvy also contains Octodrine. This is a prohibited supplement in many sporting organizations. Because of its high caffeine content, however, many sporting agencies have stopped recommending this product. TruVision, one of the products, can cause stomach upsets, nausea, vomiting, headaches, fast heartbeats, increased blood pressure, and mood swings. It is important to examine all weight loss products and their side effects.

What are Truvy’s Weight Loss Products?

The Truvy online shop had four options available for those who wanted to lose weight at the time of our review. However, there were only two choices:

  • Truvy Boost Drink
  • Truvy Boost Diet Pills

Truvy offers the drink as an individual product or as a twin-pack. Two flavors are available: Ruby Rev and Citrine Spark. You have the choice of buying only one flavor or both when you purchase the twin-pack.

Truvy diet pills can be listed under the names “Truvy 30 Day Combo Pack” or “Truvy Boost 30 Day Combo Pack.” Both the price and product descriptions are the same.

Truvy Boost Drink

This drink contains a mixture of nutrients and natural substances that are said to support blood chemistry. It will give you a boost in metabolism and help with your appetite.

Each box contains 30 sachets each of the drink mix. You are mistaken if you think this is a month’s worth of drink mix. Truvy suggests taking two sachets each day: one in morning and one early afternoon.

Truvy Boost boxes cost $60-$75 each. Truvy Boost is expensive because you will have to purchase boxes each month.

The twin-pack will be slightly less expensive if you purchase it in a pair. You will pay $99-$123 each month instead of $120-$150, but it’s still a very expensive drink.

Prices will vary depending on whether you purchase a single item ($123) or agreeing to receive regular deliveries via subscribe and save ($99).

TRU + VY = Truvy

Truvy Boost Pills

The capsules are designed to achieve the same results as Truvy’s weight loss drink. You will only need to take two capsules per day, but that is the big difference.

The price is another difference. Because each capsule provides a 30-day supply, they are more affordable to use. A 30-day combo pack costs $89-$111.25. This is still a large amount of money.

It isn’t as outrageous as it seems. Truvy’s 30-Day Combo Pack includes two types of pills.

  • 60 x Tru capsules
  • 60 xVy capsules

Take one with your breakfast, and then take the other at lunch.

Tru capsules are an updated version of a formulation Truvy formerly sold as truFIX. Vy capsules can be used as a companion product to help you energize your body, control hunger, and optimize body fat.

Combine them (Tru + Vy), and you’ll have Truvy!

How does Truvy weight loss supplements work?

Truvy’s weight loss products seem more complex than they actually are, because Truvy boasts about its ability to alter blood chemistry.

Whether it’s aspirin or Vitamin D, anything you consume could be said to alter your blood chemistry. The blood is the only place where nutrients and other medicinal compounds can be absorbed. The blood acts as a carrier, transporting the compounds to where they are needed.

In this case, when certain ingredients get into the blood two of the things they do are increase metabolism and reduce hunger.

Your metabolism will speed up, which means you’ll burn more calories. It is easier to stick with your diet when you have your hunger under control.

Supplements that reduce calories and increase calories can help you burn more fat.

What are the Ingredients in Truvy?

Truvy Boost is made with a proprietary blend. Both capsules are also powered by proprietary blends.

The supplement facts show that the two proprietary blends found in the pills provide the exact same combination of ingredients as the drink.

The pills contain a few vitamins, but the drink has much more.

Let’s look closer at some of the key ingredients.

Green Coffee Bean Extract

Green coffee bean extract provides chlorogenic acid. It regulates blood sugar levels and insulin. It can prevent blood sugar levels from dropping and may reduce cravings for sugar and carbs.

Green Tea Extract

Green tea provides antioxidants, called catechins, that increase metabolism, helping you to burn more fat than you could with diet and exercise alone.

There’s plenty of research that proves green tea’s value as a fat burner. One study suggests that the ingredient is good to your heart.

ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid).

Vitamin-like antioxidant found in potatoes, liver, kidney and many other foods. It aids the breakdown of carbohydrates, making it easier to harness the energy they provide.

Raspberry Ketones

A specific enzyme found in certain fruits. Particularly raspberries. Raspberry ketones is well-known for its ability to suppress appetite. It increases the activity of the fat-burning hormone adiponectin.

Citrus Aurantium

It’s also known by the name bitter orange. It provides a powerful stimulant called synephrine.

Synephrine has been associated with increased energy and better mental focus. Although it appears to be a good stimulant for fat burning, there are also side effects.

Hordenine

Hordenine is another stimulant. Hordenine is chemically very similar in structure to synephrine, so it has similar abilities. Side effects are possible.

Are there any positive customer reviews for Truvy?

Truvy has a lot of positive customer reviews. There are many negative reviews, but you can rely on the good ones on the company website.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB), which has many customer complaints, is a better source of feedback.

Customers complain about ordering errors. Some customers complain about difficulties obtaining refunds.

None of these are confidence-building.

Are there side effects to Truvy?

Customers complain about side effects. Several customers report experiencing headaches, anxiety and insomnia. These reactions can often be attributed to stimulants, and Truvy has more than one.

We recommend against Truvy pills or drinks without consulting a doctor.

Truvy Cons and Pros

Pros

  • Provides proven fat burners
  • Increases energy and mental focus

Cons

  • Uses proprietary blends
  • It contains stimulants
  • May cause side effects
  • Use this option if you are looking for a more expensive option
  • Customer complaints

Let’s conclude…

This supplement is not recommended to people with hypertension, chronic disease, or other medical conditions due to the lack research. A multivitamin daily, improved eating habits, lower caloric intake and a healthy lifestyle will help you lose weight. There is no magic bullet that will help you lose weight and eat whatever you like. As a nutrition professional, I stress the importance of sound research and nutritional evidence to back up claims on supplement labels. TruVy’s product does not appear to improve weight loss or metabolism. There have been very few clinical trials. Many of the brand’s supplements have too many side effects that it is not worth the cost. Remember that supplements are not the answer to weight loss. You can only get there by reducing calories, improving mental health and increasing physical activity.
